Parking in the Sunshine City
The Getaway 10K & 5K will be taking place at Albert Whitted Park, located in the downtown area near the Dali Museum, the Mahaffey Theatre and the Rowdies Stadium.
On Street Parking
There are hundreds of metered parking spots available for residents and visitors in the downtown area. Parking rates vary across the downtown area but rates and limits are clearly located on each meter. Many of these metered parking options are free on the weekends, just be sure to check the enforcements times. When you do need to pay for your parking the city has made it easy and convenient with the ParkMobile app for your smart phone along with traditional coin or credit options.
Al Lang/Progress Energy Park Surface Lot
Entrance is located at 230 1st Avenue South, between 1st Street and BayShore Boulevard.
Cost is $5 all day. Open to the public 24/7.
SouthCore Parking Garage
The entrance is located at 101 1st Avenue South.
Cost is $3 flat rate on weekends. Open to the public 24/7.
