Where do I go to get my bib number and premium?
Bib pickup information will be available soon. All participants will go to the bib pickup location to get their race number and premium.
If you cannot pickup your bib on Saturday we will have bib pickup available on race day from 6:45-7:45am at the Boulder Reservoir.
What is the AARP member discount?
Current AARP members will receive a 50% discount off their 10K, 5K or Kids Fun Run registration with their AARP Membership number.
What is the address of the venue?
Boulder Reservoir, 5565 N 51ST ST, Boulder, CO 80301
Will I be charged a state park admittance fee?
The park admittance fee will be waived for Getaway 5K participants on the day of the event.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking on-site is free of charge.
Is there an age requirement?
All ages are welcome to participate in the 10K and 5K.
The Kids Fun Run has two race levels open for children, 1/2 mile for ages 8-12 and 1/8 mile for children ages 7 and under. Children should be able to run the distance alone, though parents are permitted to run with their child.
Is the event timed?
The 10K and 5K runs will be the only timed events.
The Kids Fun Run will not be officially timed.
Is there a time limit?
10K participants will have 90 minutes to complete the course, while 5K participants will have one hour.
There is no time limit for the Kids Fun Run.
Are stollers allowed on the course?
Strollers are permitted on the course, however, we ask as a courtesy to other runners that if you are pushing a stroller to please start in the back of the pack. Please also familiarize yourself with the course as many of the trails are unpaved.
Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards and other wheeled devices are not permitted on the race course.
Can I stay with my child during the Kids Fun Run?
Yes, parents are encouraged to participate with their children! We ask that children are able to complete the distance themselves, but parents are permitted to stay with their child.
Parents are not required to register themselves as participants in the Kids Fun Run to accompany their child.
When do I get my medal?
Medals are only available for 10K and 5K finishers and will be handed out at the finish line.
Will awards be given out?
Yes! The awards ceremony will be at 10am. Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finisher, the top male and female masters finisher, as well as a few “fun” awards that will be a surprise at the event.
We have partnered with Runner’s Roost to offer gift certificates for some of the awards.
Will there be food at the event?
Yes. There will be post-race snacks for runners including water, Gatorade, fruit, chips, bars, etc. There will be vendor food options available in the post-race after party.
What kinds of activities will be at the Finish Line Party?
There will be fun and interactive games for kids, entertainment including live music, plenty of prizes and giveaways for participants, and much more!
What if I registered and can no longer participate?
If you registered and can no longer participate for any reason you may request a partial refund of up to 50% through August 10. After that date no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Deferments and transfers are not an option for this race.
Can I transfer or defer my registration?
Unfortunately we do not offer deferments for the event and cannot transfer registrations to other individuals.
